Connections

Connect Google Ads

Connecting Google Ads gives Ads Master read access to your account structure, campaigns, and performance data, and — once you explicitly request a campaign build — the ability to create campaigns in paused mode. It never turns anything on for you.

Before you start

You’ll need to be signed in with a Google account that has at least read access to the Google Ads account you want to connect. If you manage multiple accounts under one login, you’ll choose which one to connect during the flow — connecting more than one account beyond the free allowance is a metered add-on.

Steps

  1. From your dashboard, open Connections and select Google Ads.
  2. You’ll be sent to Google’s own consent screen. Ads Master’s OAuth app is Google-verified, including sensitive scopes for Google Ads, so the screen will show Ads Master’s verified branding rather than an “unverified app” warning.
  3. Review the permissions requested — they map to what’s described above: reading your account and campaign data, and building campaigns in paused mode when you ask for one.
  4. Approve access. You’ll be returned to your dashboard, and the account will appear as connected.
  5. Ads Master reads your existing account structure immediately. Nothing is created or changed at this point — connecting is a read step until you separately request a build.

What this unlocks

Connecting is free and part of the standing free allowance, along with creating or adopting a GA4 property, setting up conversion actions, and Search Console verification. Once Google Ads is connected, your health score can evaluate whether tracking is actually verified — until it is, cost-per-result and ROAS show a warning instead of a number, on purpose.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect Google Ads at any time from Connections. Disconnecting revokes Ads Master’s access on Google’s side, not just in the dashboard — nothing continues reading your account after that.

Security notes

Access tokens are encrypted at rest, sessions expire after 7 days, every state-changing request is protected against CSRF, and account access is isolated per business — one connected account never has visibility into another business’s data. See the full picture on Trust.

Next step

Once Google Ads is connected, connect Meta or verify Search Console to unlock the rest of your health score.
