Verify Search Console

Search Console verification proves to Google that you actually own the website you’re claiming — and it’s the gate Ads Master uses before showing any SEO insight. An insight built on an unverified site is a guess. Verification is what makes it real.

Why this is a separate step from connecting Google Ads

Google Ads and Search Console are different products with different ownership checks. Connecting your ad account tells Ads Master which campaigns to read. Verifying Search Console tells Google — and by extension Ads Master — that the website itself is actually yours to read data about.

Steps

  1. From your dashboard, open Connections and select Search Console.
  2. Enter your website’s domain or specific URL.
  3. Ads Master will offer a verification method — typically confirming ownership through your existing Google account if you already manage the property, or walking you through Google’s standard verification (a DNS record, an HTML file, or a meta tag, depending on what Google offers for your setup).
  4. Once Google confirms ownership, Ads Master connects to the verified property and begins reading its Search Console data.

What this unlocks

Search Console verification is part of the free allowance. Once verified, SEO insights that were previously hidden — search queries, impressions, indexing issues — become visible, and Ads Master delivers a written report combining Search Console and GA4 data rather than raw numbers with no interpretation.

If verification fails

The most common cause is that the domain entered doesn’t exactly match how the site is set up in Google’s systems (e.g., www vs. non-www, or http vs. https). Double-check the exact URL your site actually resolves to before retrying.

Security notes

Search Console access is read-only by nature — verification proves ownership, it doesn’t grant Ads Master any ability to change your site. The same session, encryption, and per-business isolation rules apply as with every other connection. See Trust.

Next step

Once verified, pair it with GA4 and conversions so your health score has everything it needs.
